Experience the magic of the season at Erie’s annual Parade of Lights, a beloved community tradition that brings together families, neighbors, and local businesses for a night of festive celebration. Enjoy live performances, school choirs, free carriage rides, Santa & Mrs. Claus, and a dazzling parade that lights up historic downtown.
Arrive early to explore the holiday activities throughout the area - and make it a full evening by joining us at 24 Carrot Bistro for dinner before the parade begins.
What to Expect:
🎶 Local Choirs (4pm-6pm): Held at Orchard Community Church
Performances By:
Vista Ridge Academy Choir (4pm-4:20pm)
Erie High School Topaz CR5 & 5130 (4:25pm-5:35pm)
🛷 FREE Carriage Rides (4:30pm-6:30pm): Located at Coal Creek Park
🎅 Visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus (4pm-6pm): In front of the ice rink on Kattell Street.
Parade Information:
✨ Parade begins at 6:30pm
The parade will travel through Historic Downtown Erie with festive floats, music, and performers.
Parking & Street Closures:
Parking is available in residential areas, the Erie Methodist Church lot on Holbrook Street, and the Town Hall lot at Holbrook & Cheesman. Please avoid blocking fire hydrants.
🚧 Street Closures:
No parking on Briggs (Maxwell —> Evans) and Kattell (Moffet —> Cheesman) from 2pm-10pm.
All streets intersecting Briggs will close at 4pm.
Briggs will fully close from Erie Parkway —> Evans from 5:45pm-10pm
🚨 Safety Stations:
Lost Children & First Aid tents will be located near Fox Dog Coffee on Briggs Street.
